Natural Wine
Natural wine meaning
Natural wine is wine made with a minimal-intervention philosophy: grapes are usually farmed organically or biodynamically, fermented with native yeasts, and handled with few additives or cellar manipulations. The term is not a single legally standardized category in most markets, so definitions vary by producer, retailer, and certification body.
In practice, natural wine often means little or no fining or filtration, low sulfur dioxide additions, and a style that may show haze, sediment, vivid acidity, or funkier aromas than conventional wines. Because many natural wines use fewer stabilizing steps, careful storage and service matter more than with heavily stabilized commercial wines.
