Viniculture

What is viniculture?

Viniculture is the broad practice of producing wine. In English wine writing it is often used for the cellar side of wine production, close to enology or oenology, but it can also overlap with grape growing for wine. Use viticulture when the subject is specifically vineyard work and enology when the subject is specifically winemaking science.

What is a viniculturist?

A viniculturist is a person involved in the science or study of wine production. They typically focus on the winemaking process (fermentation, blending, and aging), though the role can sometimes overlap with vineyard management.
